Enhancing the Creativity

Creativity can be enhanced by external forces, surely. And it does not depend on you’re the hereditary characteristics. It is actually a delicate balance of nature and nurture. In other words, There are many ways and approaches to improve creativity.

Ø Change approach towards the situation or problem

The normal person thinks about the problem, itself. Whereas creative people think to target the solution. Many times we got stuck with a particular problem. After trying and trying, we quit. Instead of quitting, if we change our attitude towards the problem, the solution is in our hands.

E.g. Situation is: I need to finish the programming, before this weekend. We can change the approach. And think like: I need to create a program which will be a benchmark for this project and can be used to solve the problem in the next upcoming project. Oftentimes, the best approach is to picture the intended audience of your next creative project.

Ø Seagate your tasks

Many times a normal person engage the mind in doing many tasks, at the time. As the thought process or mind involvement is different for a different task.

e.g. Regular Routine task and the preparing the dinner for a weekend, on the occasion of get-together is different. Though, a lot of sub-processes involved it in are more or less the same, but required at a very different scale. A pitch of creativity in this will really amaze your guests.

Also, it has been shown that we are particularly terrible at creating when we try to combine the gathering of information and actual creation. So, if we segregate our tasks, with respect to priority, required time, etc, we are able to free the mind to work on the creative things.

Ø BE Positive

The positive mind can create the miracles.

Strong positive feelings towards your work always result in the output. Same is applicable for the creative work, also. Creative efforts will be at their best when your attitude is positive.
