Why ADVERTISING is important for small business?

When we think of advertisements for startups or small businesses, some asks it is not required for them. Others may say they need to focus on the product and not on the advertisement. An early stage entrepreneur also not aware of this particular task, and never provide a serious attention towards it. They always depend on the leftover budget or ( no budget ) for the advertising. It is nothing but the big mistake. ADVERTISING is an investment, not expenses.

You may have the question that if Advertising is an investment, which is the right time to start investing in the advertising? There is no right time to start the activity. As it starts with on the same day and at the same time, time at which you have finalized the name of your product or service. Yes, it is...

Many entrepreneurs think Advertising is not our home ground. How? As long as the product is yours or from your home ground, and so the advertisement is …
? because the main purpose of the advertisement is nothing but to generate the business. And, I think and I am sure everyone needs the business.

One more biggest myth about advertising is that you can advertise when you need the business. Once you have enough orders, you can stop. NO, the scenario is totally opposite. Advertising is a continuous process. Whether you have enough orders to sustain or not, you should have some budget allotted for advertising. The budget cannot be bigger, but it can’t be zero.

Once you stop the advertising and after a certain period of timing you started the same again….. Here you haven’t stopped the advertising, but also stopped the orders and hence the business. So, you need to restart your business, from the zeroth stage, again. Remember, consistency is key in advertising. The strategy may differ, the budget may vary, but you have to be visible, in your target market, in maximum possible and creative ways.
Yes, for an early stage entrepreneur, the budget is the main constraint, when he or she thinks of advertising their own new product or service. Besides advertising products in traditional venues such as newspapers and general interest magazines, businesses advertise in media that reach specific markets.

A strong commitment to advertising is as much an external call to action as it is an internal reinforcement to your sales team.

Promotion:

The primary aim of advertising is nothing but to promote your product or service. Whether your promotion takes the form of print ads, commercials, billboards or handbills, the purpose of the content is to promote your product/service, in all possible ways.

Awareness :

People are not going to buy, unless and until they are aware of a availability of product or service in the market.
Advertising helps to raise your target demographic's awareness of issues with which they may be unfamiliar as well as educate them on the related benefits of your product or service

Comparisons:

Advertising provides an easy and effective way for the consumer to evaluate how the new product or service measures up against the competition.
Toothpaste advertisements can be a good example as they are providing evidence of which is faster or effective, in comparison with the other.

Retention :

Each and every startup is struggling badly for sustainability. In a troubled economy where so many shops, restaurants, and companies are going out of business, maintaining a strong presence through regular ads, fliers, postcards, events and a dynamic website is invaluable for long-term relationships. This also serves to attract new customers who may not have been in need of your products or services when you first opened but are now pleased to have their memories jogged. Advertising needs to create a permanent place in the consumer's mind space.

Morale :

As a startup or new business, we are always struggling for the team building. people hesitate to work with new establishments.
Investing in an advertising plan keeps your business alive. It becomes an active part of the conversational vocabulary and community buzz. This, in turn, gives your workers a sense of pride and emotional ownership in an enterprise that's generating positive feelings and name recognition.

What is Creativity?

Creativity is essential, in every sector. your competitive skills along with the creativity decide the growth (personal or organizational). Creativity is like a currency of success.

What is creativity?

Creativity is defined as the tendency to generate or recognize ideas, alternatives, or possibilities that may be useful in solving problems, communicating with others, and entertaining ourselves and others. In other words, to use the imagination or original ideas to create something.
In simple words, its way of thinking… It’s an approach to get a better output, with the same set of inputs. It is applicable and essential in day to day life. Applicable to all fields.
Some people think of creativity as using your imagination to create things. Others think that it is the ability to consider things in new ways and look at them from different perspectives.

Let us make it simple. Creativity is nothing but an ability of a person to think out of the box. Creativity deals with the way of thinking. It's the way how we apply or view the new ways of forms, from the different perspective. Isn’t it simple? And remember, it is not related only to the artists. (Read the blog: Don't listen to these CREATIVITY myths )
Tests of creativity measure not only the number of ways or alternatives that people can generate but the uniqueness of those ways or alternatives. The ability to generate alternatives or to see things uniquely does not occur by the change; those are linked to other, more fundamental qualities of thinking, such as flexibility, tolerance of ambiguity or unpredictability, and the enjoyment of things heretofore unknown.
In managing a business or a job or daily life, creativityy plays a very crucial role. Business is about managing many different processes or a combination of processes. So, business is not only about creating an idea (creative idea), it’s about the implementation of many ideas, at the desired time.
Here, we need do understand Creativity is a continuous process. it is about the enhancing the life, in many different ways. So, being creative doesn’t mean to come with the new ideas. Creativity is about living the life with open, authentic mindset and approach. Everyone should dream of a creative vision for our own future.
So, creative people are always energetic, a bit more smart, compared to the less-creative individuals. These creative people are the perfect combination of disciplined life and irresponsibility. They are super passionate about their work and life and know the magic to balance them, with an ease. They are open for experiments and highly sensitive towards the results.
So, what are you waiting for? And a pitch of creativity in your life and share your creative experiences, with us …

Don't listen to these CREATIVITY myths

Whenever people heard or read about the word 'CREATIVITY'; they think that it's not their piece of butter, creating many doubts or some sort of fear in the mind. This is absolutely not true... Just a pure perception… Only Misunderstandings ...

In simple words, its way of thinking… It’s an approach to get a better output, with the same set of inputs. It is applicable and essential in day to day life. Applicable to all fields. Don’t listen or think over the following common myths, about creativity :

1. Creativity = Art ? : Being creative doesn’t mean that you are an artist nor creativity means to create the art. Or we can say creating work of an art, is a one form of creativity.

“Creativity” is a broad term. It includes many areas like gardening, cooking, programming, problem-solving, writing, composing the music, direction and many more...

2. You have to “right-brained”.
How and why? Though, its scientifically proved that the left part of the brain is responsible for logical thinking and the right one for creative thinking. But, there is no relationship between “right-brained” and being creative.

3. We find some people are more creative, compared to the other. Yes, it is true... The reason is not they are “naturally“ creative, but mostly they are spending more time, in doing the creative things.

4. You have to be an art student, to be creative..
Why? No... Not required… The only requirement is you should want to do work, creatively. Observe Kids. They are with most creative minds.

5. Creative ability is inherent.
It can be developed. With consistent practice, one can achieve the required skills.

6. I don’t need creativity in my job.
No... Creativity is required in every task, every piece of work.

7. Your field of creativity and my profession must be same.
Not at all required... We need to understand CREATIVITY is a way of thinking, a way of life. We can’t restrict it to a particular field, whether it's related to the profession or not.

8. My qualification, skills, and experience are enough. Whether you are an employer or an employee (fresher or experienced), if want a stable job or a sustainable life, then you don’t have to option to skip creativity.
After reading all the myths, you may have a question, then what is the creativity?

Points to remember while designing the LOGO

People remember a simple image over the no of words. As we all know, a picture can tell you thousand words. Instead of remembering the (complex?) names of each and every organization, isn’t it better to remember just a simple image? This simple image is nothing but a Logo.

The Logos are the symbols made up of text and images that help us identify an organization. But, logos are doing much more! A good logo is the representative of your brand. It helps customers understand what you do, who you are and what you value. That’s a lot of responsibility on a tiny image!!

"There are many graphics designer who can design a logo. But, very few are capable to design a right logo."

Enough care must be taken while designing the logo :

It should be creative and original.

3. Simple: Complex logos missed the audience and make the noise. Simple logos are recognized and appreciated by people, easily. Simple logos are the ones people remember the most.

4. Aesthetically correct: Logo design may not be using geometric shapes, at every time.

But, overall design must be aesthetically pleasing.

Many times, it happens that what looks great on a site banner might not work on a brochure or vice versa, so they carefully craft a logo that looks good no matter what. Need to note down these results.

7. Impactful: First Impression is the last impression. The main purpose of the logo is to catch the viewers attention. A great logo should be impactful, creating the positive impression and entering in the mind space.

8. Limited color: Using no of colors always fails to convey the message, which is inside the logo. the contract helps us distinguish one thing from another It is recommended to use maximum three colors in a single logo.
Many designers recommend creating the logo in black and white first, before bringing color into the equation, in order to focus on overall design.

9. Appropriate:

An effective logo should be appropriate. Before finalizing the design, Ask yourself: Does this logo communicate the right tone and style.
Does it show or in some way hint at what type of business or product it's representing?

10. Timeless: Don't be too trendy. Do aim for longevity.

Logo design is not going to renew on each year. It lasts with the organization for as many years as the company exists. One has to make sure the design is suitable for future, too. Note that the effectiveness is long lasting.
